Well, today was a total bust. >< I won my category of that singing thing I did for the store a few months back, and today I was supposed to go to the regional and sing at the big meeting. Bomber-kun wanted to come along, so instead of driving with the manager, we opted to go ourselves--Bomber-kun figured he could drive it faster, and, looking at the location on the e-mail, figured finding the place would be a milk run. So we got up at 8AM, drove out there, and proceeded to get incredibly lost looking for first a Publix, before he finally realized that what I had assumed was a store location was actually a hotel--we then spent the next TWO HOURS asking people for directions to said hotel, and never could find the place. So now I'm off to call the manager and hopefully not get in trouble for not ever managing to find the place.

In less irritating news, we went out to a Japanese place yesterday and I had raw (but well flavoured) calamari for the first time--it was pretty good, although with a bit of a fishy after/undertaste that I could have done without. Lo, my food horizons have expanded, slightly.
