I'm back!

Okay, so I've actually been back for a few days now. Since we drove from Florida to Maryland in back in the space of five days, however, we've all been catching up on our sleep. The trip up was for the most part uneventful, and mostly rather dark, as we left Tuesday night, and arrived in the unholy hours of Thursday morning. Maryland was quite pretty, although I tend to think this of any place that has scenery that isn't flat, flat, flat. We saw March of the Penguins Thursday afternoon--it wasn't particularly educational, but it certainly was full of cute. Then our friend who actually lives in the area showed us how to get to the convention center, and we did the Thursday pre-reg.

Anyway, overall, I had a good time, although the siblings assure me that there are better cons out there. In any case, that's all I can think of on the fly without my little program guide around. I'm also tired of LJ cuts. So, with the feverent wish that I will one day find plushies of Badtz-Maru (the Hello Kitty penguine) and the nerfapotamous (the adorable blue pack-ox thing from Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles), I'm off to bed. Perhaps tomorrow I shall contact the girl C-chan found doing paper mache critters and inquire as to the possibility of getting a freaking Quetzaqotl (FF8) statuette thingie.
